For this new and exciting project, we were tasked with choosing a record label and an artist to design their album cover in said record label style. And so I decided to work with the Wu-Tang Clan and Young Gods.

Precedents

The thinking that went into these was the fact that I wanted to have some sort of "gritty, dirty" or handwritten feel to the covers. This thought process came about because since The Wu-Tang Clan are from New York which is arguably the birthplace of rap music, I felt that it would be fitting to create my designs in a way that would be familiar for those in the know.
